What is Boundary Setting?

Boundary setting is about defining what is acceptable and unacceptable behavior, thoughts, or actions in your relationships and interactions. Having these clear guidelines and limits protects your emotional well-being.

How you can Incorporate Boundaries:

1. Practice Saying No: If you feel overwhelmed, it’s okay to say no to requests or only offer what you can do.

2. Walk away when someone is disrespecting a boundary: You can do this in many ways. If someone has disrespected your boundary you can highlight to them that they have crossed a line and you are not able to continue the interaction.

3. Ask for space when needed: Check in with your mental capacity and determine if you are able to have an interaction or if you need space. It’s okay to take breaks and prepare yourself.
